Dear Francesca,
I am really sorry that I couldn’t celebrate your confirmation with you. But it is certain that from now on you have one more friend: The HOLY SPIRIT. It’s God who comes to live in us! Think about it for a moment: The immensity of God that seeks out our littleness, our weaknesses and faults to make it its home, to transform us always more into how he wants us to be.
It’s important for you to never disregard this GIFT and that you don’t forget about it. The HOLY SPIRIT wants to be invoked, and wants to be always at the center of your heart and thoughts; in return you have already received his seven gifts (wisdom, knowledge, understanding, counsel, piety, fortitude, fear of the Lord). I know it’s difficult to remember them all, but study them little by little and you’ll see that all of them are flames of love and instruction to carry out good deeds. We all know what we’ve done to you this year and especially how much you’ve suffered; well, I can’t tell you that you won’t suffer anymore, but I can assure you 1000% (and even more I’d like to be able to witness it with my life) that if you trust Him always and in every moment, your tears will be dried by his flame, the caress of his love. It could happen to you, in the course of your life, to lose all your friends, to remain on your own, without a family. On your own? NO, NEVER! Always remember to rely on the One and Triune God (Father, Son and Holy Spirit).
As for me, I hope you be able to keep close to you as far as possible and that this simple letter, that the Holy Spirit has written using my hands, might be an impulse to follow the words of Jesus: “Go and teach all people. And surely I am with you everyday, to the very and of this world.” These words aren’t just a piece of the gospel, but primarily the map to follow the path of God.
FRANCESCA, WE HAVE RECEIVED THE HOLY SPIRIT; LET’S GO AND PROCLAIM GOD TO EVERYONE! LET’S GO! GOD IS WITH US!
May the blessing of God descend upon you and your family in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
